The 2024 Shop & Win The Hinchinbrook Way promotion came to an end with the Winners being drawn on Thursday 19 December 2024 at the Hinchinbrook Shire Council’s Late-Night Shopping in Hinchinbrook event.

This years’ promotion had built on the success of the inaugural “Shop and Win in Hinchinbrook 2023” campaign, and was made possible through very generous and continued support from our major sponsors – Hinchinbrook Shire Council, Powerlink Queensland, Windlab (Gawara Baya) and Mobbs Marr Legal. With the combination of financial sponsorship and the complementary support provided by many local businesses, it resulted in this years’ prize allocation worth over $16,000.

This year saw a substantial increase in participation from the community, which was evident by having over 14,500 entries lodged in the collection boxes, that also more than doubled in numbers from last year, with 55 collection boxes being allocated around the district. With the close of the campaign, it was calculated an average spend of $150.00 per customer was spent in the district.

In addition to the project management of the overall promotion, Hinchinbrook Chamber had incorporated a comprehensive marketing campaign via social media and radio, as well as assistance from the Hinchinbrook Shire Council managing the printed media promotion.

With the substantial prize pool, 17 different prize baskets were created for the winners; with prizes ranging from gift vouchers from local businesses, children’s toys and many other quality gift lines.
